Editorial Policy & AI Disclosure
1. What we publish
Financial IQ publishes market data, analytical tools, and research articles about companies, sectors and markets. Everything we publish is informational. We do not publish investment recommendations, price targets presented as our own forecasts, or advice tailored to any individual.
2. How AI is used — stated plainly
We use AI in two distinct places, and it is worth separating them because the risks differ.
Ask Vera (the assistant)
Answers are generated by a language model at the moment you ask, using live data pulled through its data tools. These answers are not reviewed by a human before you see them — that is inherent to a conversational tool. Treat them as a research aid and verify anything you intend to act on. Research articles
AI may assist in drafting articles — outlining, summarising source material, and producing first drafts. No article is published without a human editor reviewing it, checking the figures against source data, and taking responsibility for what it says. A named human is accountable for every published article.
We do not mass-produce articles. We would rather publish a small number of pieces worth reading than a large number that are not.
3. How articles are produced
- Brief — the question the article should answer is defined first.
- Draft — written by a human, or AI-assisted as described above.
- Fact check — figures are verified against the underlying market data, and claims traced to a source.
- Edit — reviewed by a named human editor.
- Publish — attributed to a named author, with the publication date shown and the last-updated date shown when it differs.
4. Sources
Market data comes from a third-party provider, identified on our Methodology page. Where an article relies on a specific external source — a filing, a company announcement, a regulator's publication — we say so in the article. We do not present provider-calculated figures as our own analysis.
5. Corrections
We will correct factual errors rather than quietly delete them. When an article is substantively corrected after publication, the updated date changes and, where the change is material, we note what changed.
If you believe something we have published is wrong, please contact us. Corrections are welcome and we would rather be told.
6. Independence and conflicts of interest
Financial IQ is operated by Veravest LLC and funded by subscriptions, stated openly on our Plans page. We are not paid to cover, promote or omit any company or security.
Where a conflict of interest exists — including any holding an author has in a security they write about — it will be disclosed in the article. If we ever accept sponsored placement or affiliate arrangements, they will be labelled as such and kept separate from editorial content.
7. Not investment advice
Nothing published on Financial IQ is financial, investment, legal or tax advice, and nothing here is a recommendation to buy or sell any security. Our content cannot account for your circumstances, objectives or risk tolerance. Past performance does not indicate future results. Always do your own research, and consider professional advice before investing.
