When you register, we collect your name, email address, and optionally your phone number. We store a unique identifier (Cognito sub) assigned by AWS Cognito.
Usage data
We may collect information about how you interact with the Service, such as pages visited, features used, and time spent. This data is collected in aggregate and is not linked to individual identities for analytics purposes.
User-generated content
Content you create within the Service (watchlist tickers, saved articles) is stored in association with your account.
Technical data
We may collect IP addresses, browser type, and device information for security and performance monitoring.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account.
- To provide personalised features such as watchlists and saved articles.
- To send transactional emails (email verification, password reset, OTP unlock codes).
- To send optional SMS messages if you add and verify a phone number.
- To monitor and improve the security and performance of the Service.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on AWS infrastructure (Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon Cognito) in the US East (N. Virginia) region. We use industry-standard security measures including encryption at rest and in transit, access controls, and regular security reviews.
Passwords are never stored — authentication is handled entirely by AWS Cognito using Secure Remote Password (SRP) protocol.
5. Data Sharing
We share data only with:
- AWS — for infrastructure, authentication (Cognito), and email delivery (SES).
- Financial data providers — we query third-party market data APIs on your behalf, but do not share your identity with them.
- Legal authorities — when required by applicable law or a valid legal process.
6. Cookies and Local Storage
When you first visit the Service, a cookie consent banner gives you control over which categories of cookies are set. You can update your choices at any time using the "Cookie Preferences" link in the footer.
